I the gospel Jesus reminds us how deeply loved we are. We have nothing to be afraid of. Fear makes us immobile, and paralyzes us in spirit, hardening the heart. We fear the unknown, the future, our loss of any control we think we have; we fear the advance of age and the reality of illness; we fear death. Yes, the list goes on and is very personal.
What is it YOU fear? Name it and give it to God. God will free you in time. He will!!! Trust in God, fear is absolutely useless.
I fear much on this journey: my physical limitations, my age and memories that haunt me. The past can be very cruel if the memories of all that went wrong become the focus of your memory. I fear where I’ll end up and how. I surrender my fears to God so I will be free to give Him the glory that is His due.
To “fear God,” a vastly misunderstood verse from scripture, means to surrender to the beauty and glory of God. We must Give God the Glory, not to ourselves or any other person.

The top part is missing. It says; To God Be the Glory. Photo taken when I saw this barn off highway 20 on my way to Galena.
good one to think about today! I have a lot of things coming at me and I fear them because I don’t know how to control them . Your blog today reminds me that I need to let go and let God. I’m old and he’s always gotten me through. Why would now be any different? Thanks, Frank. Godspeed!
